- Viscoelastic Sheet VS
The VS range of Viscoelastic Sheet is intended for use in constrained layer constructions to the damping of resonant vibration in aluminium and steel constructions. Use: Shipdecks and bulkheads, improved sound insulation of steel doors, engine compartments and other steel-walled enclosures, and improved impact sound reduction on steel staircases.

- Viscoelastic sheet AVS-700
Viscoelastic sheet for constrained layer damping of fibreglass reinforced plastic, fibreglass / foam sandwich construction, wood etc. AVS-700 is a specially formulated blend of polymers designed to produce a final structure with very high damping of structure borne noise. It should be incorporated at the stage where the main structure thickness has been achieved and a constraining FRP layer added in thickness about 1/3 of the main structure thickness. Use: FRP hulled pleasure crafts, military vessels, wind mill propeller and machinery hoods.

- Damped Sheet Metal PVP
Swedac PVP is a laminate designed to reduce vibration and noise transmission in structures. It consists of two metal sheets joined by a thin layer of viscoelastic glue. The construction operates on the principle of constrained layer damping - the sheer forces in the constrained viscoelastic layer cause the energy of the vibration to be converted into heat. Undamped metal construction normally have a very low loss factor, typically in the range 0.001 to 0.01. The loss factor can be increased to something in the region of 0.3 to 0.8 by using Swedac PVP. This means that the amplitude of the resonant vibration when the construction is subjected to structure borne sound or vibration will be much lower than for an undamped construction. Reduced amplitude of vibration means less radiation of sound, and also a reduced risk of fatigue failure. Use: To reduce vibration and noise transmission in structures.

- Damping layer SWEDAC DG-U 6
Two component polyurethane compound designed for use in constrained layer applications. DG-U6 viscoelastic damping layer is a specially formulated polyurethane polymer designed to produce, together with the steel construction and a steel sheet constraining layer, a final structure with very high loss factor over a wide temperature and frequency range. This dramatically reduces noise generated by vibrations in the structure. DG-U 6 has a high tixotrophy allowing thick layers to be applied on vertical surfaces. Use: To dramatically reduce noise generated by vibrations in structures.

- Damping Glue DG A2
Swedac DG A2 Damping Glue is a water-based acrylic glue designed for the control of structure borne noise and vibration in sheet material and wood products. Such stiff materials require very little excitation to produce resonant vibration and it is quite easy to produce structure borne vibration which is reradiated as noise in other parts of a building construction. Just how big a problem the noise becomes is dependent on the overall Loss Factor of the construction. Typical construction materials such as plywood, chipboard and plasterboard have very small loss factors in the region of 0.01 to 0.03 - that is to say, very little internal damping. By means of Swedac DG A2 Damping glue, the loss factor can be raised to 0.2 to 0.4 - the effect of which is to provide a noise reduction of 8 to 16 dB. Use: Control of structure borne noise and vibration in sheet material and wood products.

- SWEDAC Damping cassettes
A new development for the reduction of structure borne noise and vibration in steel and aluminium constructions. Swedac Damping Cassettes have been developed for the purpose of reducing the amplitude of free resonant bending waves which are set up in response to vibration in the plating of steel and aluminium constructions.
Damping Cassettes are very practical where the plate thickness exceeds 5 mm, being simply welded to the structure, in contrast to other methods of damping, such as damping sheet and conventional constrained layer constructions, which are glued to the resonant plating. Use: Reduction of structure borne noise and vibrations in steel and aluminium constructions.

- Damping sheet DS
Applied at up to twice the thickness of the substrate, Swedac DS substantially improves damping characteristics of the structure, thereby reducing vibration and preventing the radiation of noise. For easy installation, Swedac DS is produced with a self adhesive backing. Use: Typical applications are on metal structures up to 2 mm in thickness, such as ventilation ducts, automotive applications, business and domestic machinery.

- Damping compound DC-P 500
Applied at up to twice the thickness of the substrate, Swedac DC-P 5 substantially improves damping characteristics of the structure, thereby reducing vibration and preventing the radiation of noise. Use: Typical applications are on metal structures up to 2 mm in thickness, such as ventilation ducts, automotive applications, business and domestic machinery.
